Manchester City Chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak says more players will be arriving at the club this summer, and that life is too short to hold grudges following recent controversies with UEFA.
The Chairman was speaking in his now-traditional post-season interview reflecting on the happenings of the last 12 months, and looking ahead to what next season has to offer.
A tumultuous 2019/20 season, for so many reasons, saw City finish a conclusive 18 points behind Premier League winners Liverpool, and crash out of the Champions League at the quarter-final stage following defeat for Lyon.
In preparation for the coming campaign, Al Mubarak said the club has looked to move quickly and decisively with transfer targets as seen with the swift acquisitions of Ferran Torres and Nathan Ake.
He added the club has generally has a certain set of criteria when is comes to their dealings in the transfer market, and would be looking to bring in some more quality before the end of the window.
Al Mubarak also added he bore no grudges against UEFA following the governing body’s conclusions that City were guilty of Financial Fair Play irregularities and subsequently issued a two-year Champions League ban.
This was later quashed on appeal by the Court of Arbitration for Sport.
