Swimming
The event, organised by Professional Sports Group in partnership with the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, offers family fun and challenges for all age groups and abilities with seven different races held during the day. The different categories are:
Abu Dhabi Mile for ages 16+
Abu Dhabi Splash Dash – 800m for ages 14+
Junior Splash Dash – 500m for ages 12-14
Junior Splash Dash – 300m for ages 10-11
Junior Splash Dash – 100m for ages 8-9
Family Fun Challenge – parent’s 300m child 100m
Adult Relay – 4x300m
The Abu Dhabi Swimming Festival, last held in February 2015, saw over 800 swimmers take part and Emirates Palace hosted over 1000 family members and friends, who came along to enjoy a day out at the beach and cheer on the swimmers. It was held at the iconic Emirates Palace for the first time in 2015.
